Jon holds a B.A. in English from California State University, Fresno, and an M.A. in Education from New Mexico State University, as well as a Level 2 professional license in the state of New Mexico, additionally serving several years as an English Department Head. He has taught English Language Arts, Creative Writing, and Media classes at the middle and high school levels, and has served as an interim college instructor for curriculum and instruction as well as a graduate research assistant and/or interim instructor for the following: research in curriculum and pedagogy, multicultural education, curriculum for a diverse society, edumetrics, advanced measurements and statistics, and issues in instruction in teacher education. He has also served as an instructor for college success courses focusing on academic and life skills.
